1.Tell us why anyone would want come to your hometown?
The most sensible thing I’ve heard someone say is “Save Your Fork!” I grew up attending dinners at church, and this was a common phrase to hear. After the meal, desserts would be served. The kitchen would run out of silverware if everyone didn’t save their fork for dessert. The idea of saving your fork is always to keep expectancy for wonderful things to come into your life. When the time comes, you’ll be ready!

2.What are the (2) most important things in your closet and why?
I get really excited to see all of the ways that God will bring opportunities into my life that only He can create. I’ve gotten good breaks and possibilities that I never could have dreamed. Did I ever imagine I’d have the chance to complete a lap around the world? Nope. But it is something that I got to do with my entire family, which created memories that will last a lifetime.

3.What do you love to cook and why?
If I could teach anything, it would be how to find lasting joy! It’s the reason that I’m working on my book, “Spark: Igniting Joy in Your Life!” I don’t think people automatically are born with the knowledge of how to keep happiness and joy ever-present in their lives. I’ve found forty principles that I use to keep my joy even during hard times. I’d love for everyone to have that!

4.If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?
I’d actually have to say my own age of 40. I have the wisdom at 40 of having lived through many life experiences, but a healthy body that allows me to do the activities that I want. During my younger years, I had health trouble until a doctor finally figured out that I couldn’t eat gluten. I actually feel healthier now after being gluten-free for the past 16 years than I did in my 20s.

5.Describe the dirtiest job you have ever had to do?
Any moment that my husband and I get to spend alone, we consider a date. We are very involved with our kids, but it’s really fun when we get some time to spend together reconnecting. Whether that’s a dinner out or a trip to the grocery store, we always have a blast. My husband, Bill, is the funniest person I know. Whatever we do, it’s going to be fun!
